Barbara Jean Watkins, born March 27, 1941 to Farrell and Veta Berry in Ozark County, MO. Graduated from Dora High School in 1959 where she was crowned Homecoming Queen. She passed away January 28, 2018 at home in Forsyth, MO.

Shortly after graduation she moved to Wichita, KS., where she met her future husband Ronald L. Watkins. They were married November 3, 1962 and were married 55 years. They made their home and family of 4 girls in Wichita, KS. She was a great homemaker, housewife and mother.

She worked for Walmart for 22 years as a department manager, and then worked in the shipping and receiving department. After retiring from Walmart, Barbara and Ron moved to Forsyth, MO., to live out the rest of their lives.

Barbara was always there for anyone and often would sacrifice for the needs of others. She always would put others before herself and would think about others feelings before her own. She would always be there with a smile on her face. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for anyone.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Watkins of the home. Daughter Marla Kelly, husband Tom and son Zech of Pawnee, OK.; Daughter LaVona Watkins of the home; her son Brandon Winton, wife Catelyn and their children Paisley and Trex; Daughter Tammy Gipson of the home and her daughter Lindsey Gipson and son Carter of Branson and Tammy’s son Dylan of Wichita, KS. Barbara had 4 girls, 4 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids. She is also survived by 4 siblings, JM Berry, Alice Thorton, Farrell Wayne Berry, and Kay Doubek as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Loved much by all.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Watkins, grandson Tyler Watkins, and granddaughter Taylor Watkins; her parents Farrell and Veta Berry, and 2 brothers Sidney Hancock and Alfred Berry.
