Cortney Sue Snyder, 23, of Connellsville, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was born January 2, 1995 in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of Rick D. and Cindy S. (Firestone) Snyder of Connellsville.
Cortney was a Caretaker for Living Treasures Animal Park, Jones Mills. Cortney enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially when hunting, fishing, and 4 wheeling/mudding. She was a caring and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. Cortney was full of life with a heart of gold. She was a beautiful person inside and out, known for her quick wit, sarcasm, bravery, courage, strong will and protecting those she loved.
In addition to her parents, Cortney is survived by her four year old son: Chase Dean Snyder; sister: Nicki Snyder of Mt. Pleasant; special nephew: Mark Pritts; several aunts, uncles, cousins, (special cousins Sammi and Cole Snyder); grandparents: Harold “Bill” and Marjorie Lewis; special friends: Mikey Pritts and Joe and Trish Brown. Cortney was predeceased by her half-brother: Mark (in infancy); and grandparents: Samuel Firestone, Jr., and Richard E. and Ida Snyder.
Friends will be received in the Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home 123 S. 1st Street West Side, Connellsville, PA on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 1 - 6 PM,and Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM the time of service in the funeral home with Rev. Keith Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
