SCIO - Timothy S. Ward, 57, of Scio, died Friday (Jan. 19, 2018) in his home, after a seven-month battle with cancer.
Born Sept. 30, 1960, in Wellsville, he was the son of Lewis Wilson and Anna Elizabeth Cummins Ward. On July 16, 1988, in the Knights Creek Evangelical Methodist Church, in Scio, he married the former Dollie Rahr, who survives.
Tim owned and operated Ward Construction in Scio, and was employed by TPS Propane, starting their business in Allegany County.
He was a social member of the American Legion and VFW in Wellsville, and a former member of the Moose. Tim was captain of the Mahogany Ridge Pool League and president of the Budweiser Pool League. He served as caretaker of the Knights Creek Cemetery for many years.
Surviving besides his wife, Dollie, are three siblings, Donna Layman of Scio, Nancy Borden of Belfast and Lewis (Nancy) Ward Jr. of Brush Prairie, Wash.; father-in-law, Lyle Rahr of Wellsville; brother-in-law, Charles McAhon of Florida; special friends, Fran and Carol Slocum of Wellsville and Mark "Jitterbug" Wardak of Scio; many nieces and nephews; and feline friend, Jasmine.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Ralph Ward and Harold Ward; his mother-in-law, Mary Rahr; and sisters-in-law, Sandy Ward and Dodie McAhon.
Burial will be in Knights Creek Cemetery, Scio.
