Keith Allan Shedd, the son of John and Betty (Hargis) Shedd, was born April 14, 1951 in Des Moines. He was a graduate of Des Moines Tech High School.
Keith served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Keith had been a member of Carpenters 106, working at Allied Construction. He then worked many years for the postal service at the bulk mail sorting center.
Keith enjoyed playing softball and was a top pitcher. He was a wonderful singer and guitar player. Keith loved animals, having many pets and raising horses. He liked attending sprintcar races, and was an avid hunter.
Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; parents; and brother, Jim.
Keith is survived by his siblings: Jack, Jerry (Aimee), Sheryl (Mike) Silvers, and Bob; stepchildren: Andrea (Scott) Havig, Neil (Monica) Trevett, and Dana Jordan (Stan Swisher); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Keith's Life will take place from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2016, at the Euclid Room at the East Euclid Hy Vee.
