Joseph Thomas Byrd, 58, of Gainesville passed away on January 27, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Dick Shore officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
He was born on September 9, 1959 in Baltimore MD., to Rose Byrd Trammell and the late Silas Byrd.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Rose and Ed Trammell; daughter, Carly Jo Byrd; grandson, Jace Thomas Byrd of Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Gerald and Patricia Byrd of IN; sister and brother in law, Jackie and Charles Barnes of Gainesville; brother, Jeffrey Byrd of Gainesville and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe has lived in Gainesville for the past 30 years. He was a body and fender repair man and also a machinist. He was disabled for the past 14 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
