Born Dec. 22, 1934, on her family’s farm in Vienna Township, Grundy County, Ill., she was the daughter of Ernest & Sarah McCloskey Finch. She received her education in the Harford Grade School in Vienna Township.
In 1984, Darlene moved into Morris, Ill., and became a resident in the Grundy County Home, where she thrived in her environment and enjoyed a wonderful life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kinsman and Immaculate Conception Church in Morris, which provided Darlene with her communion.
Surviving is her loving and devoted sister, Ernadine (David) Sinnott of Verona and their three children, Eileen (William) Biros of Mazon, Ill.; Janice (David) Steffes of Morris, Ill., and D. Michael (Debra) Sinnott of Verona; seven great-nephews; one great-niece; two great-great-nephews; and four great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Darlene’s memory to the patient activity fund at Morris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
