Kenneth Ray Snodgrass Jr., age 44, born March 28, of Chesterfield County, Va., departed this earth to make his final journey home, on January 16, 2011. Kenneth also known as Kenny to his friends and family. He was an alumnus of Lloyd C. Bird H.S., class of 1985, and was currently employed at the Comfort Inn, Prince George, VA. Kenny had a passion for cooking and had worked in the restaurant business since the early age of 16. His love of photography was secondary as his hobby, inspiring him to take pictures like his mentor, Ansel Adams. Kenny was a person who knew no stranger and his big heart and compassionate attitude surrounded him with numerous friends that will eternally remember him. Kenneth Ray Snodgrass Jr. is survived by his parents, Ken Snodgrass Sr. and Emily Snodgrass of Chesterfield. He brought them much joy. Kenny is survived also by his sister Sandra L. Groff, and her children Ciera (age 16), and Gabriel Gauge Groff (age 7). Many loved uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and honorary nephews (held close to his heart) Hayden and Michael, and beloved canine Buffy. Kenny, who was a believer in the power of love and friendship, requested a celebration of life reception. It will be held at his workplace, the Comfort Inn "Hooahs" located at 5380 Oaklawn Blvd, Prince George, VA, on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 7 to 10 p.m. We the family, to celebrate Kenny's kind spirit and generosity, ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations are made to the SPCA at 201 Temple Ave. Suite E, Colonial Heights, VA, 23834, or your local Veteran's organization. Please donate in Kenny's name. He has departed from this life, but remains eternal in our souls, Kenny our hearts thank you for sharing in our lives. We love you!
