"John Algot Thoreson, 79, formerly of Warren died at 8:30 am, June 3, 1967, following a lengthy illness. Born in Sweden, Nov 17, 1887, he had been a resident of Warren for most of his lifetime. Mr Thoreson was a self-employed carpenter, and a partner in the contracting firm of Thoreson and Farnsworth for many years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Roy Carlson, of Knox, Pa, with whom he made his home for several years; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Mrs Josephine Thoreson, preceded him in death in 1956, and one daughter, Mrs Justin Sheddy, in 1945. Friends will be received at the Templeton Funeral Home...and services in his memory will be held there Tuesday morning at 10 am. The Rev R Lee Mull, assistant pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hessel Valley Lutheran Cemetery, at Chandlers Valley."
