Terry Shane Dixon, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, at the age of 69. He was born on February 11, 1948, to Marvin Kelly and Ora Marie (Shaw) Dixon in Duncan.
Terry served in the United States Marine Corps. While serving, he received his GED while stationed in Palm Springs, California. He married Shirley Kay Springer on August 11, 1966, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They had one child, Rickey.
He was employed as a tire builder at Goodyear for 12 years. He worked in the maintenance area at Marlow Manor, worked for the City of Duncan, and sold insurance. He loved to fish at Waurika Lake where he had his pontoon boat moored, hunting, and noodling for catfish. He enjoyed cooking the fish he caught.
Terry is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home; his son, Rickey Dixon and significant other Shonna Ford of Gainesville, Texas; his granddaughter, Kylie Dixon-Sanchez and husband Angel of Ardmore; his great grandchildren, Tristan and Aria Sanchez; his sister, Shirley Carlson; his nieces and nephew, Sandra Dixon, Lisa Roberts, Melody Hemmingway, and Randy Carlson; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Marty Dixon; and niece, Susan Boyer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, at 1:30 P.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Strait officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
