Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery in East Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Born on June 21, 1948 in Harrisburg, Illinois, Tina was the daughter of William E. and Delma (Woods) Morris. She was married to Joseph VanDerGinst and later married to Frank Cole.
Tina worked for many area nursing homes as a certified medical assistant and activities director. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Tina enjoyed playing Dominos and Uno, and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She cherished time spent with family, friends, and the residents she served.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Laura VanDerGinst of Leander, Texas, Danny VanDerGinst of Wichita, Kansas, Michael and Janis VanDerGinst of Zachary, Louisiana, and Jeffrey and Merridith VanDerGinst of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jake, Erin, Isabel, and J.J.; great-grandchildren, Annalese and Oliver; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Waylon Williams of Eddyville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy; and a sister, Debra Dukes.
