ELLSWORTH, Kan. — Lloyd Parsons, age 93, formerly of McCook, Neb., passed away at Ellsworth on Jan. 24, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society Ellsworth Village.

He was born in Frontier County, Neb., on July 1, 1924, to Otto and Stella Parson. He grew up north of McCook on the family farm. He attended Curtis School of Agriculture. Lloyd served his country in World War II in the Army Air Corp and was honorably discharged. He returned to Nebraska to farm with his family.

On Oct. 20, 1962, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Grace Mardis in Des Moines, Iowa. To this union four daughters were born: Anne, Connie, Beth and Sharon. His wife preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 1985.

Lloyd drove a school bus for 20 years. Lloyd moved to Ellsworth in 1999 to be close to daughter, Beth and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. with Richard Karr officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, from 2 to 7 p.m at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.
