died after a long battle with cancer. He was a part of the neighborhood State Yard Gang growing up, and graduated Salutatorian of 1969 class of Carrollton High School. Jim retired to Jacksonville after serving in US Navy in Vietnam and gulf wars. survived by his wife, Junko, and their children, Jeffery and Jasmine , a brother Chuck (Judy) Hornbeck of Cincinnati and a sister Mary Ann (Roger) Burrell of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Ron Hornbeck, former math teacher and coach of Carrollton High School. A Navy veteran he is being honored by being placed in Jacksonville National Cemtery.
