Sandra Carole (Webster) Wooten, 75, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 31, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, IN to the late Malien and Mary Kathryn (Davis) Webster.
Sandy was a 1960 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and attended Lockyear Business College. She was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ for 60 years. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, cooking, cleaning and doing yard work. She loved and cared for her family and was very active in their lives, attending every event she could. Sandy will always be Meme to the grandkids and her gentle, sweet spirit will live in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Paige.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe C. Wooten; son,); daughter, grandchildren, sister, ; brother,
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church, 618 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Rev. Kevin Petty and Rev. Tim Garrett officiating and burial to follow in Black Cemetery.
