Deborah L. Powell, 51, of Butler passed away Friday evening at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on Feb. 7, 1963, in Butler, she was a daughter of Frederick D. Tompkins and Catherine A. Geibel Tompkins.
She was a 1982 graduate of Knoch High School, a homemaker and a member of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church.
Debbie enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, baking and sewing.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry L. Powell, who she married on Oct. 3, 1992; her son, Todd Frederick Wilbert Powell, at home; her parents, Frederick and Catherine Tompkins of Butler; her two sisters, Sandra (Randy) Barlett of Butler and Patricia (Lee) Berger of Frederick, Md.; her brother-in-law, Wilbert (Carolyn) C. Powell of Cabot; her two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Summerville of Butler and Karen (Jeff) Fowler of Carbon Center; her nieces and nephews, Trisha and Ryan Barlett, Steven and Sarah Berger, Jason Summerville, and Kelly, Gary and Jeffrey Fowler, and her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Powell- The friends of Deborah L. Powell, who passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Brownsdale Cemetery.
