Funeral services for Robert Stevenson, 54, of Sumner, who died Tuesday morning from toxic fumes while working in a manhole in Sumner, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner. He was an employee of the City of Sumner.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
Robert Stevenson was born Jan. 4, 1921, at Birds, IL., to Chauncey J. and Mabel Cochran Stevenson. He was single, and his mother survives also living in Sumner.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters--Delbert, Joseph, and Edward Stevenson, all of Sumner; Mrs. Vivian Miller of Champaign, and Mrs. Mary Heath of Bridgeport. One brother and sister--Clyde and Margaret--are deceased.
The Rev. Grant Cummins will be in charge of the funeral, and burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery."
