Born in Marshall Township
Confirmed at Little Cedar on June 2, 1907
Conrad Soma and Janet Anderson were married 12/10/1917. Attendants were Ida Anderson and Coramae Anderson.
Seldom has it been our duty to record so sudden and sad a death as this to which we wish to pen a last tribute, a parting salutation. Gloom of the darkest dye spread over the whole community when it was learned that one of our young and brightest blossoms had been called to the Great Beyond. Yet, so it is with the All-knowing Reaper, He calls from all walks of life, be the called on young or old, rich or poor, famous or obscure, one day the summons shall be made.
In the presence of a sorrow such as this, how cold and impotent are words and how doubly deep would be the grief over the grave did not the rainbow of Christian hope span the dark. If between time and eternity and such a pure, bright life inspires the belief that there is a better world beyond, where, filled from the corroding cares of earth, the good and true are reunited "after life's fitful fever."
Janet Anderson was born May 30, 1893 in Marshall Township, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Nils Anderson. Her early days were spent in the pursuit of education at the country school near which her parents resided. After completion of her grade education she attended St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn. for three years. In 1914 she accepted a position at Mason City, Ia., in which place she was united in matrimony to Mr. Conrad Soma also of Mason City on the tenth day of December, 1917. Death came after a brief illness November 4th, 1918.
The remains were brought to Adams where interment was made at the Little Cedar Cemetery in the presence of nearest relatives only, Rev. Runsvold officiating.
The Review joins with the sympathetic community in extending their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved.
