Jill graduated from Audubon High School in New Jersey, in 1961. She attended the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and graduated with a B.A. in English Literature. Jill later attended and graduated from Armstrong College in Savannah, Georgia with a Master of Education. In Savannah, she was very active with the Savannah Symphony Women's Guild, specifically with fundraising. Her successful 30-year career in the travel industry spanned Savannah, Atlanta and Cleveland. She enjoyed playing bridge and duplicate bridge.
Jill, or Grandmother as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, devoted her life to her family. She was an avid traveler with a passion for exploring the world and was a voracious reader. Her favorite pastimes with her grandchildren included playing cards and baking her special chocolate chip cookies. She also found great pleasure in caring for her children and the many pets she cared for throughout her life. She was a woman who filled your heart, held your hand and knew how to have a good time. Jill will be greatly missed and her legacy of love will live on forever.
Jill is survived by her son Bruce Greene, Jr., his wife Michelle and their children Bruce III and Mary Baynes, in Savannah, Georgia. Also surviving are her daughter Tara Levengood, her husband Lane and their children Lane Jr., Davis and Finn, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. In addition, Jill is survived by Bruce Greene, and his wife Jane, of Savannah, Georgia.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Church of the Saviour, 2537 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
The family asks that you send donations to American Brain Tumor Association and Hospice of the Western Reserve, in memory of Jill. Arrangements by Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home Chagrin Falls, OH.
