Ocala - Ray Adamchak, 95, passed away in Ocala, Florida on January 22, 2018. He was the youngest of eight children born in Swoyersville, PA. into a Slovak family. He was an army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He moved to the Ocala area in 1984 from Royal Oak Michigan. He was a member and usher of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen; and son, Rick, of Stafford, Texas; and many nieces and nephews, who remembered him as a soft-spoken and gentle man and an avid golfer and bowler.
Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church March 6 at noon. Roberts Funeral Home Bruce West Chapel made the arrangements. To leave condolences:
