Arlita Eileen McCrary resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on January 3, 2017. She was born on March 25, 1948 and was the daughter of Virgil and Juanita Hudson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Juanita; and her nephew, Clayton Hudson.
Arlita and James married on November 17, 1972 and have resided in Tulsa and the Sand Springs area all of their lives, raising their family in Sand Springs. Arlita worked all of her adult life, helping to support her family. She recently retired from Tulsa County where she was an Administrative Secretary. Arlita had also worked at BCG and Bank of Oklahoma prior to Tulsa County.
Arlita loved life and her family. She was a people person and loved talking to anyone and everyone; sharing stories. She never met a stranger and could make anyone feel welcome. She had a passion for helping those she knew, even those she didn't. Not only did she help other people, she had a heart for helping animals & taking in the neglected and/or lost dogs roaming the neighborhood.
She is survived by her husband, James E McCrary; her son Derrick J. McCrary and wife, Carolyn, and grandson Devan; son, John Richardson and wife, Deidra, and grandchildren Desirae, Dalynn, Domenic and Dimetre; and her brother, Jim Hudson and wife, Linda. She will be missed by so many more; countless friends and family that meant the world to her.
Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Family Fellowship Church, 6105 West 36th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pastor Jim Kent officiating.
