Kenneth Don Singleton was born June 26, 1937 in Oklahoma City to Floyd L. Singleton and Leona Mae (Henning) Singleton. He went to Heaven on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Oklahoma City after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s.

Ken grew up on a farm in the Minco area and attended Minco schools until his Junior Year. His family moved to Pocasset in 1955 and he graduated from Pocasset High School in 1956. After graduation, Ken served in the United States Air National Guard from 1956 until 1962.

On June 6, 1961, he married Jeanie Elizabeth Cavin in Oklahoma City and they were married over 56 years.

Ken worked in retail for 11 years before becoming an agent for State Farm Insurance in Chickasha. He retired in 2002 after 35 years. His years in Chickasha were very good years. He was a member of the Chickasha Optimist Club and was also a member of Bible Baptist Church for many years.

He always loved fishing and spent many hours fishing with Al Keller and Charlie Brown. He and some friends went fishing in Port Aransas, Texas during Thanksgiving week for 40 years. After retirement, he and Jeanie spent two and a half months in Port Aransas every year bringing back hundreds of pounds of fish. His love of fishing resulted in many fish frys over the years, which were always a lot of fun; he enjoyed cooking fish for his family and friends. He and his family took camping trips and saw many interesting points of interest.

Ken was preceded in death by both parents, his brother, Billy Jo Singleton, and his brother-in-law, Richard Warner.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanie, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Kendall and Jo Singleton of Ninnekah and Boyd and Tammy Singleton of Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Travis Daugherty of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Morgan and Jared Bratcher, Kate Singleton, Heather and Daniel Ramirez, Brandon and Katie Doughty, Kalyssa Singleton, Tanner and Ethan Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Bratcher, Jaelynn and Kaydence Ramirez; and Easton and Joslyn East; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Archie Blevins; sister, Shariol Warner; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Virginia Singleton; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church, 226 S. 29, Chickasha, Oklahoma with Pastor Kim Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
