DENNIS DALE HARRINGTON
November 24, 1953 - January 26, 2018

With great sadness we say goodbye to Dennis after 64 years of living, laughing and enjoying life as a son, brother, uncle and good friend he passed away on January 26, 2018 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Dennis entered this world with a smile on November 23, 1953 as the youngest son of Marcus and Lillian Harrington of Duncanville, TX.

Dennis was a lifelong resident of Duncanville, Texas where he attended Duncanville Schools and participated in sports especially football. At the Century Swim Club he loved the water and was an excellent swimmer and diver. He loved to hunt and fish.

He never married nor had children but was a devoted friend to his loved ones. He often rescued his brother Wayne Lee when his bicycle broke down and then repaired it. He was a loving caretaker of Wayne Lee especially in the years prior to Wayne Lee's death. He also assisted his mother Lillian while she was in a retirement facility.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marcus and Lillian Harrington and brother Wayne Lee Harrington.

He is survived by brother & sister in law: Fred & Olivia Harrington; brother: Warren Harrington; sister in law: Debbie Harrington; sister & brother in law: Anna Kay & Don Maples; nieces & nephews: Angie & Bob Heck, Teenya & Alan Barnard, Bill Maples, Donna & Rob Richards, Michael Maples, Marc & Carmalisa Maples, Andy & Brook Harrington and Logan & Katrina Harrington; 15 great nieces & nephews and 2 great great nieces.

Dennis descends from pioneer Duncanville families including H.S. and Eliza Carr, John and Rachel Hastings and Jane Garner who were among the organizers of the First Methodist Church in Duncanville, TX.

Graveside Services will be held in Wheatland Cemetery, Hampton Road @ I-20, Dallas, TX on Saturday - February 03, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials or donations be made in Mr. Harrington's name to the charity of choice.
