"Funeral services were held for Mrs. Hulda Zeichert of Readfield, at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran church at Readfield, Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Ferdinand Weyland conducted the services. Burial was at the Zion Lutheran cemetery, Readfield.

"Miss Hulda Thieme was born Oct. 14, 1856, in the town of Wolf River, a daughter of William Thieme and Julia Smith. Her husband was a mail carrier at Readfield for many years, and died six years ago. The deceased is survived by two sons, Robert of East Bloomfield, Theodore, Readfield; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Gobel, Dale, and Mrs. William Thieme, Readfield; five brothers, Robert, Bloomfield, Ernst and Emil, Fremont, Theodore, Neenah, and William, Kansas; and three sisters, Mrs. Dorth (Amelia), Tompater, Mrs. Friday (Bertha), Vandyne, and Mrs. Lueck (Pauline) of Hortonville.

"The pall bearers were six nephews, Emery Schmidt, Elmer Zeichert, Ervin Young, Alvin Gebel, Emanuel Gebel and George Hopkins. Flower bearers were Misses Ada and Irene Thieme, Eunice Hopkins, Leona and Anna Gebel, Meta and Esther Gebel, and Master Raymond Thieme."
