Billy Joe “Jody” Blankenship age 68 of New Market, AL passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Blankenship was born March 31, 1946 in Limestone County, AL to Walter Blankenship and Lura Russell Blankenship.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 11:00 a.m., at Reunion Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home assisting the family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lura Blankenship; son, Danny Blankenship; sister, Ruby Jean Cantrell; brothers, Allen Blankenship and James Sides.
Survived by his wife, Mary Jane Blankenship; two sons, Gilbert Loyd Blankenship and Bobby Joe Blankenship; three daughters, Donna Jean Dempsey and husband, Donnie, Debbie Blankenship Montgomery and husband, Tim, Dewanda Kay Blankenship and Billy Jo Klinger ; brother, Kenneth Blankenship and wife, Cindy; sister, Peggy Freeman and husband, Aubrey.
