Jack Hickman, 84, of Willow Park, TX, died at the VA hospital in Dallas, TX on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018. He was born Oct. 25, 1933, in El Dorado, KS, the son of Joseph Jackson and Edith (Wilcox) Hickman.
He graduated from Burns High School in Burns, KS, and served for 4 years in the Air Force. He married Elizabeth (Janey) Maus on Dec. 11, 1955 in El Dorado, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother Jerry Hickman.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janey Hickman, of Willow Park, TX; and by his 3 daughters, Sandra (Mike) King, of Willow Park, TX; Karen (Hebert) Palomino, of Shelby, NC; and Debbie (Tom) Carle, of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by a brother Gordon Hickman of El Dorado, KS; 3 sisters, Betty Griffith of El Dorado, KS, Patricia Weichold of Topeka, KS, and Billie (Don) Bigelow of Rogers, AR; 8 grandchildren, Jenny King, Nathan King, Cindy (Palomino) Duck, Kathy (Palomino) Kaufmann, Steven Palomino, Mark Palomino, Kim (Carle) McLean, and Matt Carle; and also 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, Feb. 9, at Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. His cremains will be buried in the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX, at 2:15pm.
