Jay Robert Freeman Sr., 68 of Iowa Park, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls with Rev. Tim Franks, Pastor of the Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Jay was born October 14, 1949 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to the late John E. and June (Hardy) Freeman. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Freeman. On May 6, 1969 he married Debbie Howell in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
He served in the United States Marine Corp for four years with two tours to Vietnam. He loved his family very much and especially his great grand kids. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, boating, family gatherings, OU football, Nascar, and singing Karaoke.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Jay Freeman, Jr. and wife Bethanie, and Kevin Freeman and wife Kim; sisters, Judy Beasley, Jerrie Wickman and husband Ray, Jimmie Edwards and husband Cas, Jeanine Clack and husband Jim, and Julie Myers and husband Randy, grandchildren, Theresa Eldridge and husband Mikey, Daisy Freeman and fiancé Dillon, Dylan, Alexis, and Jaylie Freeman, Rylan Robertson, Desiree and Jacob Canedo and wife Kelsey, Austin and Ragan Gestes; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Moreno, Emma, Brylee and Scarlett Eldridge, and Jaysen Freeman.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
