Funeral services for Mrs. T. W. Ambrose, a native of Dooly County, were held August 19, 1955 at the Oak Dale Baptist Church.
A resident of Worth County for 26 years, Mrs. Ambrose died at her home on Sylvester Route 3 on August 18 after a critical illness of two weeks.
She was the daughter of Jack J. and Margaret J. Powell Lister.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas W. Ambrose, two sons, D. M. Johnson, Sylvester Rt 3; D. L. Johnson, Norman Park; one daughter, Becky Walters, Moultrie; one stepson, C. A. Ambrose, Sylvester; one brother, W. J. Lister, Plant City, Florida; 26 grandchildren and wight great grandchildren.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Charlie Jones with interment in the church cemetery. Banks Funeral Home officiating.
Pallbearers were Marvin Ambrose, Clifford Ambrose, William Johnson, Edwin Walters, Emory Johnson, and James Johnson.
