He was born on May 14, 1934 in Olney, IL the son of Walter and Zella (Curtis) Curtis.
He married Marjorie Ellen (Chaplin) on November 4, 1960.
She preceded him in death on May 25, 2000.
Leroy loved to paint anything he could. He enjoyed delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. Leroy also took pleasure in having family get-togethers and cookouts.
Leroy is survived by his brothers, Walter Ray Curtis of Sumner, IL and Terry Curtis and wife Donna of Longview, TX; son, Marvin E. Curtis of Newton, IL; daughter, Debra Curtis of Olney, IL; special friend, Gladys Smith of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Jim Curtis and Darrell Curtis, and sisters, Carrie Lane, Pat Johnson, and Lois Worstell.
