Indianapolis - Robert Joseph Dangler, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away January 21, 2018. He was born March 28, 1924 in Indianapolis the son of the late Carl F. and Helen (Miesel) Dangler. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and was a US Navy WW II Veteran serving in the South Pacific on the USS Marcus Island. He retired in 1997 from Eli Lilly & Co. as an Electrical Draftsman after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years: Catherine (Keating) Dangler, and a granddaughter, Kary Dangler.
He is survived by his children: Pattiann Sharp (Louis), John J. Dangler (Colleen), Coleen Martin (James Jones), James R. Dangler (Marianne), 13 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Feeney-Hornak Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E. 13th St., Indianapolis, IN.
In lieu of gifts the family requests donations be made to Riley Children's Foundation c/o Cast and Brace, 30 S. Meridian St, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
