He is survived by his wife of 53 years Edith, and son Jerry, Jr. and wife Karen, grandchildren, Jerry, III “DJ” and Kalissa Lacy and nephew Scott Lacy and a host of other nieces and nephews, all of Charleston.
Jerry began his life as a business man at age 5, starting his own shoe shine parlor on Charleston’s West Side. He later helped run Lacy Plumbing and Hardware with his father and brother before becoming the owner and operator of Lacy Modern Pool Distributors. The rest of his life was spent as owner and operator of Lacy Realty Rentals with his wife Edith and son Jerry, Jr.
Jerry graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and was a member of The West Virginia Landlords Association. He was heavily involved in West Virginia Politics. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. He very much enjoyed attending sporting events or any activity his grandchildren were involved in.
Funeral Services will be held Friday January 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Stoner officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
