Marlene K "Omy" Morgan, 85, passed away January 2, 2018. Marlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Frank R. Morgan and their son; Frank O. Morgan; she is survived by children; Michele Ciani (Michael), Robert (Corinne); Daughter-in-law; Gloria Morgan, grandchildren; Tiffany Phillips (Lynn), Frank R. Morgan (Carrie), Amanda Thompson (Andy), Courtney Rush (Jonathan), Nicholas Morgan (Autumn), Jonathon Ciani (Louise); and 12 great-grandchildren. She was born in Augsburg, Germany into a world at war, which defined much of her childhood. At age 7, her home was destroyed by bombing. As a young woman she enjoyed attending music venues with her girlfriends and dancing "The Jitterbug". She met "The Love of her life"(Frank) at one such event. They fell in love and married while he was stationed in Augsburg with the US Army. After Frank's tour ended they left Germany, spending a few years in Ohio before moving to Arizona (in 1958) where they built a life together for the next 63 years. In addition to raising her loving family, Marlene pursued a career at Valley National Bank of AZ where she made several life-long friends. She loved baking and cooking delicious German foods and she (and Frank) enjoyed many happy retirement years together. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Memorial service to be held Jan. 18, 9:30am, Fellowship Square, 2002 W Sunnyside Dr, Phx.
