He is survived by his wife of 34 years Bonnie Anderson Tate; son Arthur Leonard Tate IV (Jayzette); son Jeremy Shawn Tate (Regina); son Lester Paul Murph; daughter Amanda Joy Tate; son Jacob Lynn Tate; son William Raymond Tate (Tasha); eleven grandchildren; brother Jerry Tate (Sue); brother Ricky Tate (Jerelyn); brother Bobby Tate; sister Shirley Mayo; sister Carol Moss (Buford); sister Elaine Gunn (Paul); and honorary brother Kendall Adams.
