Renee’ passed away on January 14, 2018.

Renee’ LesCook-Brown was born on September 30th 1945. Born in Cleveland Ohio, she was the third child born to Halgro F. LesCook and Inez M. LesCook

Renee’ attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from Glenville High School in 1964. She was always a very tall woman which sparked her love for making her own clothing that would fit her long legs. She had a strong passion for sewing and made all of her own clothes.

In March of 1968 she had who she always called her “biggest blessing” with her first love Louie, a daughter that she named Dominique Renee’. Dominique would be her only child for the remainder of her life. Although she had a very special nephew Shaun whom she loved like a son. They were extremely close, all the way till the end.

While trying to find her way in life Renee’ went to Community College and worked in the camera department of the Higbee Co. in downtown Cleveland. She then went on to work at the GE Plant on Noble Rd in East Cleveland. Wanting to further herself and explore new opportunities, Renee’ enrolled in Dental School and became a certified dental assistant and worked for a while in the front office of a dentist’s office. While being successful there she still was not satisfied and wanted to learn and grow even more and landed a front office position in a successful Physician’s office where she met her dearest best friend and co-worker Phyllis Woodard. Renee’ left there in the early 90’s and settled in as the Apartment Mgr. of the building she lived in. She had finally found her niche. She LOVED her job and she was excellent at it. She was a “take care of business” type of person. Super organized and neat. Always had her “stuff together”. An independent woman with drive and determination to do the best with what she had always. She was a friend to anyone she met. She was just as generous as she was beautiful. She was funny and easy to talk to. Renee’ loved her daughters’ friends as if they were her own. She was always that “go to” person if you needed anything and she loved hugs.

In 2003 after keeping in touch for well over 40 years, she married her childhood friend Charles Brown. “Charlie” preceded her in death in January of 2004. She never truly recovered from that broken heart. Renee’ retired in 2006 to spend more time with her granddaughters. She loved to travel and was always ready to pack up and fly anywhere. In 2014 she became a great-grandmother which made her the happiest she’d ever been. Renee’ was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a good friend, loving sister, sweet aunt, caring daughter and an exceptional mother, granny and great-granny.

Renee’ leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Dominique (Joseph) granddaughters Torriana, Devany and Sunsuray. Great Granddaughter Leilani. Siblings Frank “Ducky”, Lynda, Pete and Franklyn (deceased). Nephews Frank Jr., Kelly (deceased)

Shaun (Cerelia), D’Arcy (Gabriella), Dorian (deceased). Nieces Francine, Laural “Lori”, Dorienne (Rodney), Cynthia and Shayna. Great nieces and nephews Jayden, Cheyenne, Alonje’, Jabri, Mya, Carlos, Santana, Cheveyo, Royal and Kingston. Many more loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
