Bob was raised in Henderson and moved to Elliott in 1947. He was united in marriage to Rose Brown on October 24, 1953 at Winterset, Iowa. They moved to Red Oak in 1967 and in 1978, made their home on their acreage south of Red Oak. Bob worked for Nelson Dairy and Anderson-Erickson Dairy for 25 years. He later served Montgomery County as a court bailiff for 25 years before retiring. Bob was an active member of Montgomery County Crime Stoppers, Merc Coffee Club, and The Fuzz That Was. He was a member of the RLDS Church and past member of the Red Oak Elks Lodge. Bob loved playing cribbage, collecting clocks, along with being a “tinkerer and general fixer.”
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kellie and sister, Betty.
Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose Keast of Red Oak, IA; daughters: Kim Brillas of Cromwell, CT and Karol (John) Johnson of Savannah, MO; son, Robert Kendall (Karen) Keast of Manchester, MI; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and brother, Darrell Keast of Apache Junction, AZ; other relatives and many friends.

Bob was cremated, and a private family burial will take place at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Elliott, Iowa.
Memorial are suggested to the Red Oak Fire & Rescue Association.
