Nancy P. Craig, 83, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her residence.

Born July 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Kathleen Peek.

Upon graduation from high school, she began working for Ford Construction Company. She retired after 47 years of service as Corporate Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors.

In Nancy’s honor, her employer named a towboat, the MS NANCY C, which plies the Mississippi River and its tributaries.

She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Dyersburg Woman’s Club, Dyersburg Dyer County Senior Citizens Association and The Red Hats.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church conducted by Reverend Cory D. Williams with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Danny Dedman, John Ford, Allen Burchfield, David Seat, Charles Royer and Bill Boehmler will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Moore and Jim Mohead.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 23rd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.

She is survived by her son, David A. Craig (Patti) of Dyersburg; a granddaughter, Brianna Kathleen Craig, great-grandson, Kohen Pauliot, one step grandson, Dillon Larue and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Bill” Craig, Jr. (11/21/90); two sisters, Betty Webb, Jean Hollingsworth; and two brothers, Tom Peek, Jr. and Donald Peek.

The family requests memorials be directed to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2280 Parr Avenue, Dyersburg, TN 38024 or Transitions, 250 Youth Home Road, PO Box 265, Dyersburg, TN 38025-0265.
