Stella Elizabeth Mason, 93, of Kincaid IL went home to be with the Lord and her family at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
She was born March 19, 1924 in Lively Grove, IL to parents Edward and Viola (Morris) Mason.
She attended Kincaid schools and went from there to work in the war effort making ammunition at the Illiopolis plant. She then worked in the garment industry in factories located in Kincaid, Taylorville, Sullivan, Mattoon and Decatur. She was a proud union member of the ILGWU.
Stella was a very active member of the Kincaid United Methodist Church; serving dinners and working in their food pantry. She always had a smile for everyone. Stella was a very giving, loving person and leaves behind many close friends that she loved dearly. She also loved her Cubs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Midland United Methodist Church, 600 Tower Place in Kincaid, IL. Pastor Steve Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Visitation for Miss Mason will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday at the Church.
