Born Jan. 20, 1958, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of Mary Lou Bistransky Cino of Carbondale and the late Joseph J. Cino Sr.
Kathy had been employed for many years in the maintenance department at the Carbondale Area School District and the Carbondale YMCA. Most recently, she attended barber school and obtained her barber's license in addition to having her cosmetology license, which she received years ago. She was a kind, loving and generous person who lived every day of her life helping others. Kathy's favorite job was being a home health care aide, which allowed her to excel in serving others. She was strong in her faith and loved the Lord.
Kathy enjoyed dancing, especially square dancing. She was always conscious of living a healthy lifestyle and was an avid swimmer. Over the years, she had volunteered for many causes and most recently at the Carbondale YMCA, as well as preparing and serving Thanksgiving day dinners to area residents.
She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Cobb and Tiffany Frisbie, both of Carbondale; one grandson, Michael Caporali; one sister, Mary Theresa Escott and husband, David, of Carbondale; two brothers, Joseph Cino and wife, Jody, of Simpson; and James Cino and wife, Patty, of Union Dale; nephew and nieces, Joshua Cino, Christopher Cino, Dana Smith, Dominick Cino, Marissa McAndrew and Amanda Cino; great-nephews and great-niece, Nathan Daniel Smith, Isabell and Joseph McAndrew.
She was also preceded in death by her companion of many years, Randall K. Frisbie.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 89 Farview St., Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
