Perry Randal "Randy" Cox, 54, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in Dallas, Texas. Services will be held at 2:05 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Jeffress, officiating. Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Cox was born October 20, 1950 to Morris W. and Billie Marie (Griffin) Cox. Randy graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1968. He and Sharry Brown were married April 30, 1981 in Wichita Falls. Randy was president of Joe Adair Electric Co., Inc. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association, serving as president in 1994, 1997 and 1998, governor in 2000, 2003, and 2004, and serving as treasurer in 2001, and 2002. He also served as chairman of the JATC, served on the Manpower & Development Committee, and as Annuity Trustee, as well as serving on numerous other committees in NECA. Randy also served on the Electrical Examiners Board of the City of Wichita Falls.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Morris W. Cox on January 8, 1983. Survivors include his wife, Sharry Cox, one daughter Amy Elizabeth Cox, his mother Billie Cox, and one brother Steven W. Cox and his wife Marjean, all of Wichita Falls. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening March 17, 2005 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
