Mr. Preston Ryan Cope, age 15 of Benton, KY died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church. He attended Marshall County High School where he was a member of the Marshall County Baseball Team and Future Christian Athletes Club.
Born Wednesday, March 20, 2002 in Paducah, KY, he was the son of Brian and Teresa (Peck) Cope of Benton, KY. Also surviving are his brother, Maddox Cope of Benton, KY, grandparents, Gerald Peck of Benton, KY, Larry and Bonnie Cope of Benton, KY, and uncle, Brent Cope of Louisville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Matthew Peck, grandmothers, Jenny Cornwell and Rhonda Peck, and great-grandparents, Dan and Mildred Cornwell, Glenn and Hazel Cope, and Marshall Peck.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Marshall County High School, Reed Conder Memorial Gymnasium located at 416 High School Rd Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Dr. Charles Frazier, Sean Harris, and Shane Darnall officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Reed Conder Memorial Gymnasium. Additional visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2018 in the Reed Conder Memorial Gymnasium.
