Bobby D. Chaffin, age 87 of Loganville, GA passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. He is survived by; children, Terry (Jill) Chaffin of Loganville, GA , David Chaffin of Clarkesville, GA, and Russell Chaffin of Shady Dale, GA; mother of his children, Charlotte Stephens Chaffin grandchildren, Kyle (Amanda) Middleton, NJ, Bryan Chaffin of Loganville, Chris Chaffin of Grand Forks, ND, and Lily Chaffin of Loganville.
Bobby was born in Monroe, GA where shortly afterwards his family moved to Gwinnett County. He proudly served in the United States Navy where he was active in the Korean War. He was in the insurance business for over 50 years. He was a Mason for over 50 years and a member of the Grayson Lodge 549 F&AM where he received his 50 year pin. Bobby was an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 499 in Grayson for over 30 years and was a 50 plus member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church where he served as Deacon most of those years.
A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Bobby will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11AM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. J.B. Reese officiating. Interment will follow in Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4pm-8pm in the funeral home.
