Maria Ornelas, 69 of Clovis, NM died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Plains Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel, 1430 Thornton, with Raul Ornelas officiating. Burial will follow at Portales Cemetery.
Maria was born September 17, 1948 in Pecos, TX to Hilario Perez and Elbira Ornelas Perez. She was of the Christian faith. Maria loved cooking and listening to music.
Survivors include: her two sons; Raymond (Sylvia) Sanchez of Clovis, NM, and Daniel Sanchez of Clovis, NM, two brothers; Rudy Perez of Clovis, NM and Consepcian Perez of Portales, NM, four sisters; Dolores Brito of Phoenix, AZ, Anita Escamilla of Dimmit, TX, Emma Perez of Ft. Worth, TX, and Lydia Salinas of Rogers, TX, Companion; Joel Gutierrez of the home, and six grandchildren; Blanca Fierra, Brianna Meza, Cassandra Sanchez, Amanda Tarango, Maria Isabel Sanchez, and Jessica Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents; Hilario and Elbira Perez, two sisters; Ermia Perez and Lupe Perez, grandmother; Elvira Perez, and two daughters; Sally Sanchez and Mae Sanchez.
