He was a UMWA member, retired in 1988. He was an avid horse lover and a longtime hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Perry Robertson; two daughters, Teresa Kaye (Jonathan) Smedley and Barbara Jo (Harold) Dukes; one son, Mark "Pete" Christopher Robertson; two grandsons, Bobby Joe Dukes and Mark Christopher Robertson, Jr.; one great-grandson Terry Lee Dukes; four great-granddaughters Brooklyn Robertson, Zoie Dukes, Mikaylah Robertson, and Sloane Robertson; and brother Melvin (Donna) Robertson.
He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Ron Cary officiating. Burial in Peanut Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 10:30AM at the funeral home.
