Dean left this earth after his valiant struggle with a brain tumor. This remarkable man was Mailman Soldier of the Year during his time in the Army. If you enjoy your precious freedom, thank a Veteran!

Dean was preceded in death by his father, Mar Gene McConkie; step-mother, Arlene McConkie; mother, Mary Ann Brown; and sister, Cindy Moller.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Karenne McConkie; son, Kris McConkie; and daughter, Keirsten Murray. Siblings: Mike McConkie, Mark McConkie, Lori Pantel, and Ken Minchey. Nieces and Nephews: Amy Minchey, Jeffrey Moller, James Moller, Daryl Moller, Gary Moller, Lars Pantel, Kenny Pantel, Jennifer McKee, Jessica Lessem, Stephanie Krezan, Mallory Johnson, and Lauren McConkie.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing to be held 6-8 pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Los Gatos. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 11:00 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 150 Bernal Road, San Jose, CA 95119.
