Ralph W. M. Fritz, age 86, a lifelong resident of Sheboygan, went to be with his Lord in Heaven on January 17, 2018.
The foundation and pillars of Ralph’s life were his faith in God, his 63-year marriage to his loving wife Joyce, and his love for his children Randy and Lennelle; his grandchildren Hillary, Monica, Amelia, Nathan, and Miranda; and his great-grandchildren Lauren, Benjamin, Wyatt, Blake and David. Ralph was a long-time member of the Evangelical Free Church, where he had many friends.
Ralph was born November 29, 1931 in Sheboygan. He married Joyce LaVonne Buteyn on February 11, 1955 at First Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan. He received his Associate’s Degree from Lakeland College and served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 24. For most of his professional life, he worked for United Savings and Loan, where he was involved in management, privacy, security, and account service.
In addition to his faith and commitment to the Free Church, Ralph had many personal interests and pursuits. He loved to fish, enjoyed camping with his family and many friends, was a member of the Sheboygan Rifle and Pistol Club, and was a diligent student of the Bible. He and Joyce supported many missionaries across the world and their life together was a testament to the enduring values of fidelity, mutual respect, service, and devotion.
Friends are invited to celebrate Ralph’s life on Tuesday, January 23, at the Evangelical Free Church, 1710 N. 15th Street, Sheboygan Wisconsin. The visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm and the funeral will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gary Hylander officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph’s name to Sheboygan County Campus Life or the Evangelical Free Church.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Ralph's arrangements.
