Funeral services for Mrs. Leola Ulmer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Pisgah Baptist Church, Midway, with Reverends David Newton and Philip Robertson officiating. 

Interment will follow in Paul Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
           
Mrs. Ulmer, 94, of Lecompte, La. entered eternal rest on Monday, January 22, 2018 in her residence with her loving family by her side.
 
Leola was a member and secretary of Primitive Baptist Church, a teacher’s assistant, doctor’s assistant and a caregiver. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Ulmer; one son, Earl “Buster” Ulmer; four brothers, Franklin, Bedford, Clyde and Jimmy Matthews and two sisters, Ruth Campbell and Betty Jackson.
 
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Chester Ulmer and his wife, Janice, of Gray and Jay Ulmer and his fiance’, Sandy, of Sulphur; two daughters, Gayla Petersen and her husband, Jessie, of Lecompte and Marsha Johnson and her husband, Ronald, of Deville; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
 
 Friends may call Midway Baptist Church on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
