On April 10, 1944 in Colbert, Alabama, she married Brodus Martin.
She was on staff at Calvary Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir and other special music.
She taught Sunday School for many years. After retirement she became a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church which was closer to her home. There, she continued to teach Sunday School and sing in the choir.
I personally enjoyed listening to her as she sang special music.
She was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Blake Phillips and grandson, David Lee Weldy (Find A Grave Memorial# 161025115)
She is survived by a son-in-law, Jim Phillips of Henderson County, Nevada and two grandsons, John D. (Michelle) Weldy of Indianapolis, and Timothy R. (Ruth) Weldy of Bristol, Indiana.
