Tamara Tammy L. Lucas, 57, of Moline, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. Marys Church, Rock Island. Visitation is Thursday from 3 6 p.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, with a Christian Wake Service at 3 p.m. Inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Neuroendocrine Cancer Clinic or St. Marys Church, Rock Island.
Tammy was born December 14, 1960 in Moline, the daughter of Donna Foster and Stanley Allen. She married Michael J. Lucas on September 10, 1988 in Moline.
Tammy was employed as a Pediatric Nurse for many years at Illini Hospital and later as Registered Nurse for the Rock Island/Milan School District and the Moline School District. She served many years as an R.N. at the Asthma Camp for Children, being a strong advocate for children and their health and well being. Tammy was a member of St. Marys Church, Rock Island and enjoyed her trips to Disney World.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Alexander Lucas, Burlington, IA; step-son, Mark Lucas, Rock Island and 3 Grandchildren.
