Stephen M. Gluk, 85, of Marblehead, OH and formerly of North Olmsted, OH died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community, Lakeside, OH. He was born April 6, 1932 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the son of Stephen and Tina Gluk. His father died when he was a baby and his mother Tina Ostrowski raised him as a single mother in Thorold, Ontario. He married Theresa Holly on June 22, 1957 and she survives. Mr. Gluk was naturalized as a United States Citizen in 1962. He was a tool and die maker for General Motors working in Ontario and Parma, Ohio retiring in 1989 when he moved to Marblehead, OH. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. He was an avid fisherman and woodworking, he was active in Habitat for Humanity, and he was a master gardener.
Surviving are his wife: Theresa; sons: Mike (Karin) Gluk of Austin, TX, Patrick (Lourdes) Gluk of Cypress, TX; daughter: Maureen (Arnis) Berkulis of Bend, OR; grandchildren: Michael Gluk, Hallie Gluk, Stephen Gluk, Nicholas Berkulis, Bryce Berkulis, Patrick Gluk and Kathleen Gluk. He was preceded in death by his father and son: Stephen P. Gluk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Brown 10:00 am Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay ST. Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held from 9:00 until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel is handling the arrangements.
