A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 am EST Saturday , January 27, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
Mrs. Peters was born September 4, 1934 in Jefferson, MO to the late Florin G. VanVleck and Carrie Fern VanVleck.
She loved playing a dice game and was known as the Yahtzee Champion, she enjoyed giving gifts, flea markets, yard sales, gardening, and face-book. She was a Catholic by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Roy Ronald “Pete” Peters, two sisters, Doris and Phyllis, and one brother, Larry.
She is survived by her children, Seraphim and Butch Powers, Rachelle Eagan (Jesus), Rose and Keith Bryant, David and Jane Hamilton and Nicholas Martinez; three sisters, Edith, Evelyn, and Karen, one brother, Edward.
