According to the Kirchenbuch of the First Protestant Church of New Braunfels (Vol. 3, p. 69, family 512), Marie was born at Besingsleben, administrative district of Erfurt, Prussia. I have not been able to locate such a place name near Erfurt, although several similar-named villages still exist in that area. It is possible the typed translation of the original handwritten records may be in error, or such as village may no longer exist. She married Johann Christian Gottlieb Arnold on 9-Oct-1848 in Comal Co., Texas.
