Curtis Wayne Ellis passed away on January 16, 2018 at the age of 67 in Modesto, Ca. He was born on November 5, 1950 in Modesto, CA. Curtis grew up in San Jose, CA, graduating from Overfelt High School Class of 1969, later graduating from Evergreen Valley College and earned his B.S. from University of Phoenix.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Frankie Ellis. He is survived by his children Stacie Ellis-Hayes of Modesto, CA and Curtis Wayne Ellis II of Greeley Hill, CA; siblings, Sandy Calvo of Tracy, CA, Robert Ellis and Donald Ellis, both of Greeley Hill, CA; grandchildren, Christopher Ellis and Haylee Campbell, both of Modesto, CA, Curtis Ellis III of San Jose, CA and Chase Ellis of Greeley Hill, CA.
Curtis enjoyed his career as an Engineer in Irvine and Silicon Valley. He had a passion for music and hotrods; he also loved boats, racing, golf and skiing. Curtis was always looking out for others making sure a roof was over our heads. With many health problems the last few years, he is now free to play golf with his father, make music for his mother, race across salt flats with his ideal cars he had constructed in his head and continue to watch over and love his family, laugh and roll his eyes at our antics when we were all together. His closing quotes would be: Time is of the essence, don't waste it; Can't never did anything; Never limit yourself or your thinking, act on it.
